The Confederation of African Football ( CAF ) has appointed Namibia’s Antsino Twanyanyukwu to Officiate tonight’s Women’s African Cup of Nations ( WAFCON ) 2024 Final between Super Falcons of Nigeria and Host Nation, Morocco tonight at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Antsino with her standout performances among match officials at the ongoing competition, will make history by becoming the first Namibia to Officiate a WAFCON Final.
Her steady leadership, consistency, and calm control of matches earned her the ultimate honour.
Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga, a pioneer in global football officiating and one of the most respected figure in women’s game, will be charge of VAR, and will be supported in the Video Assistant Referee ( VAR ) booth in this final by Letticia Vianna of Eswatini as AVAR 1, while Diane Chikotesha of Zambia is AVAR 2.
CAF Head of Refereeing Desire Noumandiez who hailed their appointment, said their appointment was informed by their consistent quality and performance, and as a result of their hard work both in training and in the matches they’ve officiated as well as their overall readiness..
The all – women officiating team for the WAFCON final reflects CAF’s continued investment in women’s football and its commitment to creating opportunities for women at every level of the game.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s final, Antsino reflects not only on her personal journey but on the legacy she hopes to inspire.

Antsino will be joined by an elite team of assistants: Alice Umutesi of Rwanda who will serve as Assistant Referees 1 and Senegalese Tabara Mbodji will be the Assistant Referee 2, as both have been commended for their outstanding performance, sharp decision- making and composure throughout the tournament.
