The Lagos State Head of Service ( HOS), Mr. Bode Agoro on Tuesday, 21st April 2026, flagged – off the 2026 Medical Screening Exercise for Lagos State Public Servants, held at the Folarin Coker Staff Clinic, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
In his remarks, the Head of Service emphasised that the initiative, tagged “Know Your Numbers” is strategic intervention aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, early detection of non – communicable diseases, and overall well – being of the workforce.
He noted that the programme plays a critical role in safeguarding the productivity and longevity of Public Servants in the State.
Mr. Agoro commended Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu for providing the opportunity for Public Servants to assess their health status and take proactive ownership of their well – being through routine monitoring of health indicators.
He further said that the screening exercise is continuous and urged all Public Servants not to take their health for granted. He encouraged them to adopt a healthy lifestyles, pay attention to their diet, and participate regularly in the monthly walk for fitness.
The Screening Exercise include checks such as blood pressure measurement, blood glucose level testing, urinalysis, packed cell volume ( PCV), chest X – ray, prostate specific antigen ( PSA) tests, as well as mental health assessment.
Those who accomplished the Head of Service included, the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs Sunkanmi Oyegbola; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Dayo Lajide; Executive Secretary, Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency ( HEFAMA), Dr. Victoria Egunjobi; Executive Secretary, Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service, ( LSBTS) Dr. Biodun Osikomaya; Director of Staff Health Services, Dr. Abdulrasheed Oludara; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Dr. Oluwatoni Adeyemi, as well as other Directors and Heads of Units in the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
