The Confederation of African Football ( CAF) on Tuesday, 22 July 2025 officially launched the campaign for the much – anticipated CAF African Nations Championship ( CHAN ) 2024, and also same day, unveiled the tournament’s official poster and theme under the banner “PAMOJA.”
The 2024 edition of CAF CHAN which is been Co – hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will commence this evening, Saturday, 2nd August 2025 to Saturday, 30th August 2025, making a historic first time three East African nations in staging a major football event.
At the heart of the Campaign is the word PAMOJA, a Swahili term meaning “Unity’ more than just a slogan, PAMOJA embodies the spirit of togetherness, harmony and shared ambition.
It reflects the collective strength of African Communities and the Values that football brings to life, teamwork, collaboration and solidarity.
The Official Poster, revealed across CAF’s digital platforms and broadcast partners, visually encapsulates the vibrancy of African football and the unique cultural heritage of the host nations.
Designed with bold energetic motits, the poster showcases East African, landmarks and symbolic elements that resonates with values of PAMOJA.
As excitement builds for CHAN 2024, the PAMOJA Campaign rolled out across multiple media platforms, incorporating fan engagement activities, digital storytelling, and grassroots football initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between the tournament and African Communities.
The CAF CHAN is reserves exclusively for players who ply their trade in their domestic leagues. It is a celebration of homegrown talent and a showcase of the depth of African football.
Co – host Tanzania will open the CAF African Nations Championship ( CHAN ) 2024 with Group B fixture against Burkina Faso this evening at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, Dar – es – Salaam.
