Katsina State Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda has hailed the appointment of veteran journalist Babajide Kolade – Otitoju as Television Continental ( TVC) Director of News
The governor described the appointment as well – deserved recognition of Otitoju’ s exceptional contributions to Nigerian journalism spanning several decades.
In a statement issued on Friday by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, His Chief Press Secretary, Governor Radda noted that Otitoju’ s journalism career has been distinguished by exemplary service across multiple reputable media organisations.
“Mr. Otitoju’ s pedigree through Nigerian leading media houses reflects consistent excellence, dedication to truth, and commitment to holding power accountable; the governor said.
Governor Radda in the statement, particularly commended Otitoju for his strong – willed investigative journalism and extensive coverage of Nigeria’s security challenges over the years.
“As someone deeply concerned about insecurity in Northern Nigeria, I have followed Mr. Otitoju’ s work closely. His reporting on security issues has been thorough, balanced, and constructive. He has consistently provided context, analysis, and insights that help Nigerians understand complex security dynamics” Radda added.
Governor Radda expressed confidence that Otitoju would bring his wealth of experience, editorial judgement, and commitment to excellence to his new role at TVC News.
