The Inauguration of the First Elected Executive Committee Member of the Lagos Secondary Commercial Academy – LASCA 81 SET will hold tomorrow, Saturday, 15th August, 2026 at the School premises in Obanikoro, Lagos State.
The Inauguration / Swearing – in ceremony features oath of office and allegiance taken by the first newly elected Executive Committee Member by a legal practitioner. The Executive Committee Member were overwhelmingly elected on Saturday, July 25, 2026 after a seamless Election conducted through E – Voting process by the Electoral Committee.
The Newly Elected EXCO that would be sworn -in and administered oath of office and allegiance on Saturday are:
*Wahab Ekundayo – Chairman Elect
* Mubarak Inasa – Adeyemo – Vice – Chairman Elect
* Sanya Adesina – Secretary General Elect
*Tobi Turner(Nee Okanlawon) – Assistant General Secretary Elect
* Rasaq Showunmi – Treasurer Elect
* Olori Olabisi Balogun – Social Secretary Elect
* Omokayode Muse – Publicity Secretary Elect
* Emmanuel Odogun – Chief Whip Elect
Members of the Executive Committee ( EXCO) after being administered oath of office and allegiance will see to the day – to – day running of the Affairs of the Old Student Association for the next three years and may be eligible to contest for a final tenure of another three years in accordance with stipulation of the Constitution.
In an Interview with NEWS NAVIGATOR (AN ONLINE NEWS PLATFORM), the Chairman Elect, Wahab Ekundayo disclosed that the brand new members of the LASCA 81 SET EXCO along with other members of the Set will collaborate with the umbrella body ACOSA to achieve the objective of the Alumni Association for the growth and advancement of the School.
He said: “This substantive exco will provide the impetus for the elected exco that replaced the Interim administration to enable them start on a clean slate.
“This is the first executive committee of LASCARIAN 81 SET that are going to be inaugurated.”
“This new era will kick – start a process that will increase and uplift the activities of the students association.” We are going to ensure that together we take the association to a great heights and enviable of others.
On behalf of the exco he solicited for the full cooperation and active participation of all members in achieving the set objectives.
He concluded that the exco will particularly paid more attention to the wellbeing, philanthropy activities and social engagement and interaction with members. This he said will achieve the spirit of togetherness and love among us.
The Chairman – Elect then solicited for the support, cooperation, and loyalty of all members to achieve the goals.
