The Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board in partnership with Plotweaver a foremost technology company is to launch Artificial intelligence Competition among students within the ages of 13 to 20 years.
This Initiative was made known by the Executive Secretary/ CEO, Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board (L S F V C B), Mrs. Adebukola Agbaminoja at a Press Conference held on Thursday in Ikeja, Lagos.
Mrs. Agbaminoja during Press parley, disclosed that “The Competition is designed to nurture and hornets the Creative talent of Lagos State’s Youth through the”ART” of Storytelling. Targeting Students from the age of 13 to 23 years, as this initiative is aimed at inspiring love for storytelling by offering a platform for young individuals to unleash their imagination and share their distinctive narratives.
She noted that through this collaboration, L S F V C B seeks to cultivate authentic artistic expression among adolescents, empowering them to convey their creation.
While highlighting the transformative impact will have on young lives, L S F V C B Boss encourage eligible youth to take part in the competition and showcase their talents. Urging parents, guardians, educators, and students to engage in this enriched opportunity during the holiday season for children rather than playing at home.
She stated that Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board are dedicated in promoting and regulating the Film and Video Sector in order to ensure the quality content for audiences while supporting human developmental initiatives within their sector.
“Storytelling is means of preserving the rich cultural heritage and building a thriving socio – economic, creative economy for the state.” She concluded that this Innovation is an Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) by Plotweaver and committed to empowering young storytellers by innovative tools for storytelling and content creation.
The Project Lead, Lagos Youth Storytelling Competition, Mr. Oteme Oyo said that Plotweaver is technical story checker to evaluate the stories submitted and to ensure that they are cultural relevant and commercially viable. Saying that “this Competition is an opportunity to showcase Artificial intelligence as a positive technology.
Mr. Ojo Olumuyiwa Johnson, Chief Partnership Officer at Plotweaver said: “The Competition is a transformative platform that will not only preserve our cultural heritage but build the creative leaders who will take Nigerian stories from Lagos to the World.
