In line with Islamic rites, the three days fidaus prayers for the late President for the late President Muhammadu Buhari hold today Thursday, July 17th, 2025 at his Daura residence in Katsina State at noon.
The Vice President, Kashim Shettima who conveyed the decisions to the dignitaries who paid their condolences to family at late President residence said: “After due consultations with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari and Government of Katsina State, it was unanimously resolved that today Thursday, July 17th, 2025 we will gather here to offer prayers for the repose the soul of late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Since President Buhari is not an ordinary person, Nigerians from all walks of life are still free to come and offer their condolences to the government and people of Katsina State and that Governor Radda will be in Katsina State for the next one week and also the family will be here in Daura to accept their condolences.
After the there days fidaus, the ceremony would also be formally brought to an end today as also agreed between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, and the family of the late President and Governor of Katsina State.
