As Nigerians await the burial of late President Buhari in Daura, the President, Confederation of African Football ( CAF ), Patrice Motsepe said he was deeply saddened by the passing of the Former Nigerian President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari and expressed his condolences and Condolences of Confederation of African Football ( CAF ).
Dr. Motsepe, in the condolence message said: “We are deeply deeply saddened by the passing of the passing of the former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari.
On behalf of Confederation of African Football ( CAF ), and its Member Associations representing 54 African Countries, I extended our deep condolences to his family, the Government of Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF ) and its President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, and the People of Nigeria.
CAF President, Motsepe shared his moments with the late Nigerian President: “I had the honour of meeting President Muhammadu Buhari and was impressed by his commitment and passion for Nigerian Football.
President Buhari will forever live in our hearts and minds and prayed that his Soul Rest in Peace.
It may be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari died on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at a London Hospital after a prolonged illness.
