Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda has formally announced the burial arrangements for Nigeria’s former Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in a London hospital.
Addressing Journalists during a Press briefing in Katsina State Governor Radda revealed that following consultations with the late President’s family and close aides in London, it has been agreed that the remains of former leader will arrive Katsina today, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 by 12 noon.
He further disclosed that the burial disclosed that the burial will take place in Daura, the hometown of the late President by 2:00 pm also today, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 by 2:00 pm.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda expressed deep condolences on behalf of himself, Government and people of Katsina State, the family of late President and all Nigerians mourning the loss of a national Icon
“We pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and reward him with all Aljannatu Fidaus” the Governor said. We also condole His Excellency, President and Commander of the Armed Forces Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, over the passing of his predecessor.
