*** As Chairman – Elect assures of inclusive Administration, effective Secretariat, Prudent financial system and Good welfare incentives for members
The New Executive Committee ( Exco) Member of Lagos Secondary Commercial Academy (LASCA 81 SET ), were overwhelmingly elected during the Election held on Saturday, 25 July, 2026 which was conducted through a transparent E – Voting Process.
The seamless process also afford members of the Association to freely elect Candidates of their choice without any hindrance.
The following Winners emerged at the end of the E – Voting Process as announced by the Electoral Committee.
The Names of those who emerged Winners at the end of the Polls includes:
*** Barrister Wahab Ekundayo with a total of 23 votes emerged the winner of the election and Elected the CHAIRMAN LASCA 81 SET
***Barrister Adekunbi Inasa – Adeyemo received 24 votes and was Elected as Vice Chairman.
*** Sanya Adesina was Elected as the General Secretary with a total of 24 votes.
*** Olatobi Turner ( Nee Okanlawon) with a total of 24 votes was Elected as the Assistant General Secretary.
*** Rasaq Showunmi received a total of 24 and Elected the Treasurer.
*** Olori Olabisi Balogun having received a total of 23 votes was Elected as the Social Secretary.
*** Omokayode Muse scored a total of 24 votes and was Elected the Publicity Secretary of the Association.
*** While Emmanuel Odogun who polled 23 votes was Elected Chief Whip of the SET.
The Elected EXCO will see to the day – to – day running of the Affairs of the Association for the next three years and may be eligible to re – contest for a final tenure of another three years in accordance with stipulation of the Constitution.
Although, All Candidates for the Election contested the Poll Unopposed but voting took place in strict compliance with the lay down rules and regulations guiding the conduct of elections by the Association so as to involve members of the SET in the process.
In his acceptance speech shortly after the Declaration of the Election Results by the Electoral Committee, Chairman – Elect, Barrister Wahab Ekundayo expressed his profound appreciation to the Electoral Committee for a laudable and hitch – free E – Voting exercise.
“To all our members that exercised their voting rights and indeed all other members of the house, we say a big thank you for a successful completion of the process.
As we intends to kick the ground running inline with my vision: “Together with my Vice, will lead and coordinate a team of excellent executives that will perform efficiently and harmoniously to take our association to enviable height with the satisfaction of all LASCARIANS SET’ 81 members at home and diaspora as our focus, the Chairman Elect said.
He stated that he will ensure a vibrant administrative machinery is put in place to drive active participation of all members of the Association.
The Chairman – Elect disclosed that as part of its Measurable Objectives for accountability and purposeful direction, he will ensure that a bank accounts is opened for use within one month of inaugurating of the new Executive Committee.
He said along with other Exco members he will ensure regular dissemination of activities to keep members up – to – date of our activities and that we maintain cordial relationship, respect and team sprit among ourselves.
He concluded that with the emergence of the NEWLY ELECTED EXCO MEMBER “It is a new dawn and urged everyone to come on board for a formidable alumni experience and Together we shall take our association to a new height.”
On his part, Christian Ufort, on behalf of the Electoral Committee, expressed gratitude to all LASCA 81 SET for the opportunities given them to serve and congratulated all winners elected into various positions and wish them a successful tenure.
He said a date, time and venue for the Inauguration of newly elected Executive Member will be communicated to the members in due course so as to be part of the epoch event.
