Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, on Saturday, 25th April 2026, led a delegation to monitor the rebirth of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation programme across Agege Local Government.
The initiative was formally flagged off by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu on Saturday, 14th March, 2026.
Addressing the media after the exercise, Mr. Agoro noted that the initiative is aimed at promoting environmental best practices and ensuring a sustainable, healthy, and economically viable environment across the State.
He commended the Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Abdulganiu Vinod Obasa, for his readiness and proactive efforts in ensuring the seamless conclusion of the Sanitation exercise within the locality.
The Head of Service also appreciated residents of Agege and it’s environs for turning out in their large numbers to clean their environment and for supporting the Local Government in the successful execution of the programme.
Those who accompanied the Head of Service included: the Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, Hon. Abdulganiu Vinod Obasa, the Esteemed Body of Permanent Secretaries, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamila Isiba, Ogi Sanyin 1, the Olu of Agege Kingdom, Management Staff, Environmental Officers from the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, as well as Officials of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority ( LAWMA), among others.
