The Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to sight the crescent of holy month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, 29/ 8 / 1447 AH – according to Umm al – Quta calendar corresponding to 17/ 2/ 2026.
The call was Based on the Court’s decision No: 203/ 7/ 1447 AH, issued to that effect in a statement.
The Supreme Court then called on whoever sight it with naked eye or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register their testimony there, or contact the nearest center for decision on reaching the nearest court.
The Supreme Court in the statement also hopes that those who are able to observe the crescent will give attention to this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for the purpose, and seek reward and recompense through participation as this involves cooperation in righteousness and piety and benefits general body of Muslims.
