The Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development on Thursday held its 2025 Retirees’ Celebration and Appreciation Day, honouring dedicated Officers who ended their years of meritorious service to Lagos State.
The Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon. Dayo Bush Alebiosu who spoke at the event praised the retirees for their unwavering and value they added to the Ministry.
He described his encounter with the retirees as memorable and the one of which he would never forget easily. In appreciating further their dedication, he acknowledged that retirement be it at age 60 or 35 years of service, is well – deserved milestone.
“Our collective purpose here is to acknowledge and celebrate brothers and sisters with whom I had the privilege and opportunity to work with over the last couples of years,” he affirmed.
“As the saying goes, not everyone you fight is your enemy, not neither anyone you play with is your friend. Inspite of quarrels, the results we achieve together matters most.
Honourable Alebiosu then offered his prayers and goodwill to the retirees as they move into next chapter of their lives.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, ESV Olayinka Wasiu, also delivered heartfelt remarks, and expressed gratitude to the retirees for their hardwork, loyalty, and commitment. He urged them to remain thankful for exiting the service gratefully and honourably. He commended them for their contributions, and encouraged them to embrace the future with joy and fulfilment.
Especially the Commissioner expressed appreciation to the followings: Mrs Modupe Ilesanmi, Engr. Tajudeen Raji, Mrs Yemisi Ukpeh, Mrs Remilekun Ajedokun, and Mr. Salau Kuye and and acknowledged their remarkable service to Ministry.
