The Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ ) Lagos State Council, has opened registration for its upcoming Media Games, urging chapels and members to seize the opportunity not just for competition, but also for the well – being benefits that comes with active participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a notice issued by the Chairman of the Media Games Committee, Ayo Ojedokun and Secretary Tunde Olubajo, it called on interested participants to fill out short registration form – taking about 20 seconds to indicate which games they wish to compete in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The information on gathered they said, will be used to compile a full list of participants and finalize the draws for the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond the thrills of competition, the Committee emphasized that Journalists stand to gain significantly from taking part in the Games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Physical activity has long been linked to reduced stress, improved cardiovascular health, and better mental clarity – benefits that are especially valuable for media professionals whose work often involves long hours, tight deadlines, and high – pressure environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Committee is therefore encouraging all chapels to mobilize their members, stressing that participation offers a rare chance for Journalists to step away from their demanding duties, stay active, and reconnect with colleagues in a relaxed, competitive setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members have been urged to register promptly as part of ongoing preparations to ensure the Games run smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Various sports open for participation and included in the registration form are: Football, Table Tennis, 100 Metre Race, Chess, and Draft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The events will be competed by both Male and Female members of the Council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
